Loved my Secret London Walking Tour

I took my Dad for his birthday on the Secret London walking tour. It was glorious sunshine and I could not think of a better way to spend a Friday afternoon. Learnt lots of fun things I never knew before.....Plan on booking the Forgotten and Hidden London Tours next!

Great for jet lag :-p
Having woke up at 7am in New York on the Thursday, we were trying to beat jet lag by staying up the whole of the Friday during a stopover in London. Turns out Matt is exactly what we needed to keep us going as we started to struggle having been up for 24+ hours.

We joined Fun London Tours for the Secret London walk and it was brilliant. We have been regular visitors to England's capital over the years so have ticked off all the touristy things to do. This tour took us off the beaten path, down alleys, streets and passed things that we have probably walked by many times without noticing they even existed.

Matt was incredible enthusiastic and such a great guide - he took the time to get to know everyone in the group. We will definitely take another one of his tours when we visit London next.

"Secret London"

This was an extremely interesting and entertaining couple of hours. Learnt all kinds of stuff we didn't know, and would definitely recommend the tour.

Secret London - very interesting ... and fun!

We did the Secret London walking tour last week. 90 minutes is the ideal length for this interesting tour - enough time to see some unusual places and not too long to tire out less than fit walkers. Matt is very entertaining and knowledgeable, and he tells some great anecdotes. Even though we live a short distance from London, he took us to places we hadn't been before and others where we hadn't realised their histories. It made a great start to our afternoon in London - thanks Matt. Highly recommended!

Worth it... even for a local
5 of 5 stars

I booked this tour at the last minute as something to do with my Mum. I booked the pair of us on the secret london tour thinking that I knew the part of London the tour was going around quite well, but I had my eyes opened to streets, side alleys and art that I have walked past for years. Matt was entertaining and very charismatic. I have been on walking tours in other cities where I have had to correct the guide on their history, but Matt was spot on with everything. I highly recommend this tour to locals and tourists alike.

Fab tour with a Fab guide!

I love tours, if I am visiting anywhere the first thing I look for is a tour that will interest both myself and my son. And so I discovered Fun London Tours.
We took the Secret London Tour last weekend during our city break. I chose that tour as it seemed the best suited to my son although I would have quite happily taken every single tour!
Matt was a brilliant guide. He was very friendly, had fun facts, interesting tales, top tips and recommendations for us. He made sure he included everyone on the tour and made the effort to find out our interests and reasons for visiting. ( Knowing I am a Sherlock Holmes fan he highlighted a few points of interest along the way.)
Some have said it is a fast paced tour, but it was the perfect pace for me ( I hate dawdling ) and we got to see so much on the way.
I will definitely be taking another tour on my next visit ( hopefully more than one ) and recommend to anyone who wants to see london through fresh and enthusiastic eyes that Matt is the tour guide for you!
And if Matt reads this, Sherlock Holmes tour maybe?? :)

"fantastic secret tour of London"

The tour was booked for my husband's birthday treat with me tagging along. We both love travelling to London but this gives you a great insight into a few hidden streets, their history and great anecdotes about the people that once lived there. A real treat for those not familiar with London's past but also for those who are (like me and my husband) an extra insight into the hidden gems we would probably be none the wiser about.
We were fortunate enough to be in a small group and Matt our tour guide was very amiable and a great fountain of knowledge.
Definitely recommend anyone booking this tour. Thanks Matt!

Great afternoon of Secrets in London

I'm glad that I booked the "Secret London Tour" and it added to my London experience. I had my tour on March 14/2014 with Matt and it was a fantastic afternoon. All the sites that Matt showed me and talked about I had never heard of or seen. I have been to London many times and was looking for something different from the normal tourist sites and this was it. I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon walk around the city with Matt, he made me feel like I was meeting up with an old friend and just taking in the sights of the city. I was lucky enough to be the only one on the tour so that made it extra special for me. I would highly recommend this tour company if you are in London. I look forward to returning to the city and taking more of the tours that are available. Thanks again Matt.

“Secret London”

We are just back from London and we had a wonderful time with Matt on his Secret London Tour, I am from London but I didn't know any of the cool places and secret things he share with me and my family. He was extremely accommodating in involving our kids (10 years old) - they both gave him 5 stars at the end! We have done walking tours all over the world and Matt certainly ranks with one of the best.

“Secret London Tour”

We found this tour through Trip Advisor after being let down by another company. What a hidden gem, our guide was Matt who was not only a thoroughly nice guy but so knowledgeable and interesting. We walked through gas lit alley ways, saw the only pub in London on two sides of the street, the smallest police station and the Duke of Wellington's nose!! Matt's stories of murder, mystery and king rats kept us all entertained. We will certainly be joining him on another walking tour.

“Excellent value, interesting tour. Hidden London”

Usually when we come up to London we do a hotel and a show but we couldnt decide what we wanted to see so we decided to do something different. We fancied finding out a bit more about London that we wouldn't get in guide books. From the Trip Advisor website we found Fun London Tours who were running a tour we wanted on the day we were there. So glad we happened on this tour. It was FANTASTIC! Our guide was Matt and we were to meet him at the specified location. Slightly worrying when we were there and couldnt see him but temporary signs in the tube station had us leaving by a different exit. No problem, we had a mobile contact number and within 2 minutes we had found him. We started the tour by looking at something i have never noticed before in Trafalgar Square. Pretty Cool! (won't spoil the surprise though!) . We saw what was said to be the inspiration for Diagon Alley (and it is what i immediately thought of when we entered!), learnt of secret societies and murder and mystery. We saw places we had never seen before - literally streets away from where we often wander! An interesting and informative tour, Matt was a genuinely nice person and keen to share his knowledge. We will DEFINITELY come back and do another tour with him. At only £10 per person this tour was excellent value for money, a fraction of the cost of some of the other tours we looked at.

But don't just take our word for it, check out over 300 five star reviews on Trip Advisor:
