Private royal london: Changing the Guard, buckingham palace, boat cruise and entrance to tower of london & crown jewels
Tours must be booked in advance.
Check in at 9.20am. Tour starts promptly at 9.30am. Finishes at Tower of London around 12.15pm.
Meet in the courtyard of Burlington House, near Piccadilly Circus.
Note that we see the change of the guard involving horse guards rather than the change of the guard involving foot guards with bearskin hats at Buckingham Palace on this tour.
Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss arrangements and cost.
Entrance tickets to Tower of London included in price. Free tours are led by the Beefeaters inside the Tower.
Following the latest advice from our government, we are suspending all tours until further notice. Hopefully this will only be for a few weeks, but of course we remain in the dark for now.
If you are keen to join one of our tours and book a date in the future we will provide a full refund if you are unable to travel due to the coronavirus.
My thoughts are with you all at this difficult time,
Matt, Director of Fun London Tours.
Amazing all in one tour which gives you a chance to maximise your time in London with an expert guide.
The tour will be led at your pace and to your desires with only one caveat – we must be in place at the right time to see the ceremony!
Starting off with a stroll into the royal quarter, we will see the Queen’s London residence Buckingham Palace, locate Prince Charles’ home Clarence House, and take in King Henry VIII’s home, St James Palace.
Then we take a leisurely walk through the stunning St James Park and get ready for the iconic Change of the Guard ceremony at Horseguards Parade ground.
We’ll use our expertise to ensure you are in the best position to witness this 350 year old ceremony involving the Household Cavalry.
Then its over to the River Thames to take a 25 minute boat cruise past the Globe Theatre, Tate Modern and London Bridge to our final destination, the 12th century palace and fortress, The Tower of London.
Your guide will give you an overview of the Tower, then pass you your tickets so that you can save time in the queue and go straight into your final royal destination.
As this is a new tour for 2019, we will be offering it at an incredible price which cannot be matched elsewhere!
Check for any travel disruptions the night before and leave extra time to arrive as London has a lot of traffic and can have strikes, road closures and long delays.
Ensure you arrive 5 to 10 minutes early as we will leave promptly at 9.30am. We do not reimburse latecomers as we will have already bought entrance tickets to the Tower of London and boat cruise.
Please note that we will see the change of the guard ceremony involving horse guards on this tour, not the change of the guard at Buckingham Palace involving foot guards with bearskin hats.
Out of respect to the other customers we do not answer the phone once the tour has started.
- Witness a ceremony whose history and splendour is beyond compare
- Have an acclaimed tour guide to lead you around
- Stand within 6 feet of the Guards
- Escape the hassle of travel arrangements, and let us look after you!
- Exclusive small group sizes – no more than 15 people per guide. Preferable to the excessively large groups of other tour companies!
Disclaimer: The British Army can alter the date of the Guard Change Ceremony, and can change or cancel it at their discretion. No matter how bad the weather, the walk will still go ahead, as the final notification of ceremony cancellation will not be made by the British Army and police until 11am. Although unlikely, the ceremony has been known to proceed in the rain before! If the ceremony is cancelled, you will see the Wet Change (horse guards will pass by you but won’t stop)
