Picture the scene… During the devastating attack on London during World War 2, one man carried a nation’s weight of expectation on his shoulders. As London was mercilessly bombed by the Nazis, Winston Churchill plotted our victory from the streets of London and operations room in Westminster.
This is the perfect tour to understand the area of Westminster as it would have been during Churchill’s day. You’ll see iconic buildings like Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Whitehall and the Cenotaph, but through the lens of WW2, and with the expert commentary of one of our history experts.
We do not go inside the Churchill War Rooms on the tour. This is not a ticket for the Churchill War Rooms.
We’ll finish the walk outside the Churchill War Rooms after 1.5 hours. We encourage you to book your ticket directly from the War Rooms to ensure you can walk straight in when we finish. Tickets from the Churchill War Rooms are £27.50 for adults, with cheaper options for concessions, and can book up early, so buy them as far in advance as you can here.

Yes, all our tours go ahead in the rain, so come prepared for the famous British weather!
One thing to note for our changing the guard tour: The British Army reserve the right to alter the changing the guard ceremony if they so wish, but will not make a decision until the event is due to start. If there is a threat of rain, your guide will inform the group of the potential impact on the ceremony. You will always see guards, but their movements may vary, and musicians may not play.
