How far do we walk?

This depends on the tour. All of the walks will have between 5 and 15 stops, with a 3-5 minute walk between them. The Changing The Guard tour has a three minute burst where we march at the same pace as the guards, but otherwise all our walks are rather easily paced!

May I use video on the tour?

Although we are happy for photos and video of the surroundings to be taken during the tour, please do not video record the guide unless they have given you permission.

Do you offer tours in languages other than English?

Unfortunately not.

How many people are in a group?

We are keen to ensure that the groups are not too large. Usually we have a limit of 20 per guide (25 on changing the guard). Sometimes we may have a full tour, on other occasions, just five or ten people.

Who can come on the walks?

We have a variety of walks. The Changing The Guard is lively and fun, and are suitable for all ages, but requires good mobility. Some of the other walks are not suitable for children, and this is clearly stated when booking the tour.

Who is responsible for the safety of walkers?

The Guide will remind you of safety precautions at the beginning of each walk, but each member of the group is responsible for their own safety.

Do you allow pets on your tours?

We permit guide dogs only.

Tips & Gratuities

This is of course at your discretion. However, tipping is a feature of the tourist industry, and if you feel the Tour Guide has done a good job then it is appropriate.
