An intimate journey through Churchill's life in London
Select your date to see live availability
On this deeply personal tour, we will visit the lesser-known streets, shops and buildings which played a huge role in Churchill’s life and self-image. You’ll check out the shop where he purchased his iconic cigars, stand in the military parade ground with its own hidden WW2 communications centre, visit the wine merchant with cellars running beneath the street, and take in the social clubs of which he was a member.
Hear about his relationships to his wife Clementine and President Roosevelt, his life as a young soldier, and the stories of valour and predestiny which shaped his journey to become the man of the hour.
And then for the mind blowing trip into the Churchill War Rooms. Here you’ll be able to self-guide through London’s most atmospheric and haunting museum, literally entering a time capsule from London in the War. Please note your guide will not enter the museum.
Prefer to have your guide to yourselves? This tour is also available as a Private Intimate Churchill’s London & War Rooms Museum.
You will find all this information and more on the relevant tour page and also on your confirmation email.
Yes, all our tours go ahead in the rain, so come prepared for the famous British weather!
One thing to note for our changing the guard tour: The British Army reserve the right to alter the changing the guard ceremony if they so wish, but will not make a decision until the event is due to start. If there is a threat of rain, your guide will inform the group of the potential impact on the ceremony. You will always see guards, but their movements may vary, and musicians may not play.
Our guide will be carrying a Fun London Tours flag.
At FLT we try to be as inclusive as possible, so if you have any particular disability, please email us at info@funlondontours.com beforehand and we will do our best to ensure the tour works for you.
No, your confirmation email is your ticket. Just show this to the guide on the day of the tour.
Please come 10 minutes before the allotted time so that we are ready to go promptly, especially if you have decided to come without booking online. Please note that in London there are regular road closures, engineering works on the tube and other events which can easily delay your journey. Ensure you make allowances for this as we do not wait for latecomers.
Our tours can be adapted to suit wheelchair users or those with limited mobility – just let us know ahead of time so the guide can prepare a suitable alternative step-free route.
The only exception is our Changing the Guard tour, which requires good mobility as we march alongside the guards and we cannot avoid steps.
