Fun London Tour's Guides
Matt - London Tour Guide
Hi, I’m Matt, an accredited City of London & City of Westminster Tour Guide Lecturer, 39 years old, with an insatiable appetite and energy for all things to do with London.
I qualified as an associate of the Institute of Tourist Guiding, am a member of the City of London Guiding Association and have completed the Diploma of Special Study in Tour Guiding at Westminster University.
I have spent a long time researching and developing the walks advertised on these pages, and hope my enthusiasm for them rubs off on you!
Outside of this, I attend as many games at Arsenal FC as possible, play squash and bar sports (!), enjoy a real ale, have written and directed a short film, cook a mean casserole and love the TV series Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Jess - London Tour Guide
"Guide Jess is a legend! Very knowledgable, passionate and witty."
- Tripadvisor review, August 2014
Hello! I'm Jess. 38 years old, I was born in London and have lived here for half my life. I love this city and the more I learn, the more I explore it, the more I adore it.
Having earned my tour guiding chops on the open-top buses, I've shown thousands of people London in all its weathers and moods, as well as witnessing many wonderful things happening right in front of us.
I have also lead hundreds of walking tours - for crowds of up to a hundred people! Of course, at Fun London Tours, we have no more than 25 on each walk - almost cosy in comparison!
Aside from all this, I am a writer and occasional film maker who regularly steps on stage in London's live storytelling scene. I'm lucky to have lived in China and travelled far on this incredible planet, while at home I love music, cider and the TV series Game Of Thrones.
Augusta - London Tour Guide
"Our Guide Augusta was WONDERFUL. Full of Great information about everything we saw. Answered all our questions and was fully engaged" - Trip Advisor review, August 2015
Augusta is a London based tour guide and is fluent in English, French and Italian thanks to a childhood and early career spent in various countries across Europe.
A resourceful extrovert, she was naturally drawn to a career in tourism from the age of ten and she is known for her welcoming and enthusiastic manner which instantly puts her clients at ease. She is infectiously passionate about all things to do with London and likes to include an element of informal social interaction in her walks wherever possible.
She lives with her husband and daughters in Essex and is rarely found without a hat or a cup of tea.
Phil - London Tour Guide
Hi, I'm Phill. I was born and raised in London, and have spent much of my life living and working here. I have also lived in many other countries around the world. During my extensive travels, I was always amazed and intrigued by the wealth of knowledge provided by the guides I met along the way. As funds were running low, it occurred to me that guiding would provide a great means to continue travelling and to also proivde an income with which to do so. I therefore spent a year studying Adventure Tourism in New Zealand, and have never looked back since.
After spending 8 years guiding and leading tours in countries and cities all over the world, it was time to settle down again. London has always called me back, and so of course it was the obvious destination. I may have given up the travel (for now), but I could not give up the guiding, so for the last 2 years since returning to London, I have been introducing travellers from around the world to the sights, the stories and the history that this great city has to offer.
I have an infectious love and enthusiasm for London, its history, its stories and its hidden gems, which I look forward to sharing with you.
