Over twenty walks you can book privately

A private tour is the same walk with the same guides, run for your group alone. No strangers, no fixed departure, and a guide who can slow down, change the route, or spend ten minutes on the thing your group finds interesting.

Five can be booked online in a couple of minutes. The other ten we arrange by email, usually the same day. A route we build around what you want to see costs the same as one of the walks below.

Who books one

Birthdays, anniversaries and proposals. Families who want a guide with time to answer a nine year old properly. Companies entertaining visitors who have been to London a dozen times and think they have seen it. Groups of friends who would rather not share a guide with twenty strangers.

It also suits anyone who cannot make a scheduled departure, since a private tour runs at a time that works for you rather than the other way round.

Worth knowing before you enquire

Our guides get booked up well in advance, particularly in peak season, so give us as much notice as you can. There is usually more availability on the shorter walks of an hour and a half to two hours.

If anyone in your group uses a wheelchair or has limited mobility, say so when you enquire and your guide will plan a step-free route. The one exception is Changing the Guard, which marches alongside the soldiers and cannot avoid steps. A private Changing the Guard tour can be adapted instead.

A few of the walks are not suitable for children, and that is flagged on each tour page along with where the walk starts. Your guide will be carrying a Fun London Tours flag.
