About this tour

Focusing on the bizarre, we will go in search of the lady who travelled by zebras, the doctor who fell in love with laxatives, the prime minister who was a sun god, and hear about the most mad ceremonies continuing to this day.

Certainly a tour off the tourist trail, we’ll focus on the old alleyways in one of the most atmospheric and unknown parts of central London, passing by hidden pubs and church yards, keeping an eye on the unexpected as we roam.

Can I book a private tour?

Sure! Our guides tend to be booked quite far in advance – especially during peak times – but please email info@funlondontours.com with your request. We tend to have more availability on shorter private tours of 1.5 – 2 hours in length. As of January 2023, prices start at £250.

Are your tours suitable for people with limited mobility or wheelchair users?

Our tours can be adapted to suit wheelchair users or those with limited mobility – just let us know ahead of time so the guide can prepare a suitable alternative step-free route.

The only exception is our Changing the Guard tour, which requires good mobility as we march alongside the guards and we cannot avoid steps.

 Verified We took the plunge! We went on the London Loo Tour not knowing what to expect. It was informative, interesting and very good value for money. Our friendly guide, Charo, kept us fully engaged with facts, anecdotes, jokes and quizzes for nearly two hours. She was professional, fun and certainly knows her stuff.Leading us at a leisurely pace, plunger in hand, she kept us enthralled. It was more akin to taking a stroll, chatting with a friend.  Verified Fun time in London with Matt We toured with Matt. Started right on time. Very organized and took very good care that the group stayed together. Shared many sites and tid bits along the way. He opened up the whole ceremony for us beginning near St James palace. Onto Buckingham Palace and finishing back at St James Palace. We would be happy to recommend him and the tour.

 Verified So much better with a guide It may seem ridiculous to hire a guide for something you can see for free, but trust me it's worth it. Not only was Joe funny and informative, he knew where the guards were going to be at what time and where to get the best photos/videos. No matter how much I researched the event on the internet, I never would have figured out how to do it any better than our guide did. Be aware that this tour requires about a mile of walking, with plenty of rest stops.
