About this tour

Today the skyline is dominated by some of the most iconic high-rise buildings in England, but hidden in the dark recesses lie remains of what used to be.

From an ancient bloodthirsty temple complex to a mysterious stone linked with Arthurian legend, via dragons, gargoyles and fragments of old London Bridge, you’ll be taken back in time to witness a side of London unfamiliar to the modern sightseer.

Are your tours suitable for people with limited mobility or wheelchair users?

Our tours can be adapted to suit wheelchair users or those with limited mobility – just let us know ahead of time so the guide can prepare a suitable alternative step-free route.

The only exception is our Changing the Guard tour, which requires good mobility as we march alongside the guards and we cannot avoid steps.

 Verified Easy walking, interesting places Matt is an excellent guide. From meeting up outside Canon Street tube station on a Sunday afternoon, to saying goodbye at St Dunstans he was knowledgeable, informative and fun. A lovely mixed group of people, who mixed and chatted as we discovered alleys in het square mile that you may have walked past every day.

 Verified Some of London's secrets revealed. My son and I really enjoyed Matt's informative and amusing commentary on this tour, which took us to places which we would otherwise never have known existed. There was a good mix of new and old buildings and environments included. Matt clearly loves London and sharing his passion with his guests. Great way to spend an hour and a half.  Verified Super fun and interesting afternoon. I am hooked. Me and my partner had a lovely afternoon visiting the alleyways and courtyards with Matt. Matt’s passion and live of London shines through making the experience both super interesting and fun.  Verified A great tour of London Loved the Alleyways & Courtyards tour we did today with Matt. Especially after he was so accommodating with all the postponements we had from 2020London is so easy to take for granted but doing a tour with a knowledgeable guide like Matt makes you really open your eyes to what it’s all about.
